Katlynne & J.J Bosica's Love Story

J.J and I met at one of his soccer games - he played with some of my friends. We didn’t speak much at the game but soon after we both discretely asked a mutual friend about each other. Before two weeks had passed J.J and I had our first date. Little did we know that was the last first date we would both go on. That first date led to two dogs, a house, a proposal, and ultimately our marriage.
J.J proposed on a typical Friday evening for us. I was out with friends for coffee and was meeting him at home later. My friends and I spur of the moment decided we wanted to go to BINGO and I called him telling him I would be later than planned. He had to use the excuse of ‘one of our dogs seems sick’ to get me to come home right away. As soon as I walked through the door he was down on one knee with flower petals and candles surrounding us and to top it all off he bought my favourite dessert!
We wasted no time to start planning our wedding because we knew the exact date we wanted to be wed: August 20th, 2016. This was our perfect wedding date as it was right in between both of our parents. Unbeknownst for us would this become the busiest weekend in Kingston all summer with the last Tragically Hip concert and a couple other events.
I fell in love with a Maggie Sottero dress online so when I found out Bridal Creations was having their Maggie trunk show I was sure to make an appointment. My online love did not disappoint as it was the very first dress I tried on and it was the one I ended up purchasing. I tried on a few more dresses and a couple at a different store but there was no comparison to the infamous first dress. We got to enjoy the beautiful upstairs suite all to ourselves as I got to basque in the excitement of finding THE dress.
Rosa helped me not only find my perfect dress but all of my accessories - veil, jewelry, and bridesmaid jewelry - and bridesmaid dresses. Rosa was there every step of the way to assure me that the bridesmaid dress I wanted would be perfect and I would love it - and I did!
Then it was on to the men. Steve dressed our dads, groomsmen, and junior groomsmen and they couldn’t have looked more dapper. From knit ties, to funky socks, to saxx underwear the guy’s had the whole package.
Thank you so much for all of your help with everything. We must have been in and out of the store at least twenty times over the year and a half we were planning and we always felt welcomed and in good hands.
Love,
Katlynne & J.J Bosica
